1 inch of cinnamon stick1 teaspoon of cumin seeds1 clove1 black cardamom1 tablespoon of finely chopped ginger1 tablespoon of finely chopped garlic4 tablespoon of vegetable oil½ tablespoon of red chilli powder1 green chilli2 tablespoons of chopped fresh coriander1 cup of waterSeasoning powderSalt

Recipe

  • Pour your vegetable oil into a deep pan and add your cinnamon stick, clove, cardamom and bay leaf and fry till they start to crackle.
  • Then add your cumin seeds and fry for about 5 seconds before adding your chopped onions.
  • Sauté your onions on medium for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Then add your chopped ginger and garlic to the mix and fry until your onions are light brown.
  • Stir to make sure the flavour is well combined. Then add your coriander and turmeric and fry for 1 minute.

Add your chicken that must have been cut into about 16 pieces. But add them to a few pieces at a time. Once you have all your chicken in the pan, make sure to turn frequently so they are all evenly cooked and coated with the ingredients.Add your chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, red chilli powder, green chilli, salt and seasoning powder and sauté for about 5 minutes. Then add a cup of water to the sauce and cover the pan with a lid. Cook for about 15 minutes or until the chicken is almost done

Add your garam masala and half of your chopped coriander to the mix.Add some hot water to it until you get your desired consistency.Cover and turn to low heat. Cook for about 10-15 minutes until the chicken is fully done.Your food is ready by now. Take off heat and garnish with the remaining chopped coriander

Your chicken curry is ready to eat. You can serve this with rice or pasta. I love this with spaghetti or basmati rice. I hope you get to try this; you won’t regret it. See you tomorrow..
