A lot of people know they need to drink lots of water but many people still do not drink the required amount of water the body needs to stay hydrated daily. Health experts recommend that you drink up to 8 glasses of water daily to stay hydrated and healthy.

Water does wonders for your brain

Human weight is said to be made up of about two-thirds of water. Water does wonders for the brain and I can attest to that. Whenever I go about my daily business and I don’t eat or drink for about 6 hours, I get a really bad headache. But the moment I drink water, I’m fine and good to go after 5 minutes or so. Water helps you think better and work better. So, you should always have a water flask filled with chilled water on you at all times.

Water helps you fight constipation

I know this sounds patronizing but I can confirm that this works. I have this daily routine where I make sure to take a dump before leaving the house. But my bowels do not cooperate with me all the time. guess what works like magic? Water, you got that right. I drink a glass of water and in a few minutes, I’m ready to let out all that waste. Water aids your digestive system by flushing the waste, reducing the acids in your stomach, and intestinal problems. Water is life guys and this is not a figurative saying.

Water helps in regulating your body temperature

When we do rigorous activities and work in warm or hot conditions, we lose a lot of water by sweating. Although sweat helps cool the body down, it is imperative that you regain the water your body has lost. The body needs the electrolytes and plasma it loses when dehydrated back. Make sure to drink lots of water if you sweat a lot.

Water helps to improve the blood oxygen circulation

The body needs oxygen to function. There’s oxygen inside our bodies that contribute to our well-being. Drinking water supplies the body with the important nutrients and oxygen that it needs. Drinking as much as 8 glasses of water daily will improve oxygen and blood circulation and improve the body’s health.

Water helps battle illnesses

Enough water intake can prevent one from having certain illnesses. Illnesses such as kidney stones, hypertension, urinary tract infection, constipation, exercise-induced asthma, and many more. Water helps the body absorb nutrients such as vitamins and minerals in the foods we eat.
