1. Twitter Introduces The Edit Button. Starts Tests With Employees
Isn’t this what we’ve all been waiting for? Soon, you’d be able to edit your tweets.
The Twitter company is starting tests internally then moving to Twitter Blue, a subscription offering in the US, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. They would receive early access to the feature and test them more before it comes to Twitter. In the feature, you can edit the tweet within 30 minutes. However, previous versions of the tweet would be noted to protect integrity of conversation.
2. Nigerian Filmmaker, David Ogbonna, Asks FG To Create Film Commissions
According to him, the availability of film commission helps Hollywood movie production convenient for filmmakers. As only Lagos has a film commission, expansion of movie production to other states is difficult.
He argues that this would add to the country’s GDP. Nigeria’s film industry is projected to produce 2,500 films yearly, worth $6.4 billion. He also suggests low interest loans to enable producers and filmmakers get the budget needed for creating good movies.
3. Vector Produces New Single, Mama Maradona
Featuring Wande Coal, the songwriter and rapper produces a new single titled Mama Maradona. After releasing a song called My Name earlier in the year, he follows it up with this new single.
4. Ramsey Nouah Directs Biopic Of Shina Rambo
After his debut film as a director, Living in Bondage: Breaking free, Ramsey Nouah is set to direct a biopic of Shina Rambo.
Shina Rambo is known as a fearsome bandit terrorising Southwest Nigeria who later converted to Christianity and became a pastor after serving time for his crimes.
Ramsey Nouah shared on his Instagram a teaser for the coming movie.
5. The Guy Album Hits 10 Million Streams In Its First Week
MI Abaga, now known as The Guy, took to Instagram to announce this milestone. It’s no surprise as the songs on the album have been in the latest reels, Tiktok videos, etc pushing awareness for the album. Not to mention #TheGuy was number one hashtag on Twitter the day of the release.
