1. #EndSARSMEMORIAL: Falz, Mr. Macaroni, Omoyele Sowore, And Others Hold A Second-Year Memorial Peaceful Protest
Nigerian youths led by musician Folarin Falana, Falz, Popular comedian Debo Adebayo, Mr. Macaroni, and Omoyele Sowore gather around the Lekki toll gate to commemorate the second anniversary of the #EndSARS movement. With the use of mock coffins, peaceful protesters walked around in honor of the lives that were lost during the protest, against police brutality two years ago. Unfortunately, at the cause of the protest, protesters were attacked with tear gas by the police.
2. President Buhari Assents To The Nigeria Startup bill
For the smooth operations and collaboration of startups and regulatory bodies in Nigeria, The Nigeria Startup Bill was launched last May. This bill has now been signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This news was made known via a tweet by Isa Pantami, the country’s minister of Communications & Digital Economy. He also mentioned that the bill, now called the Nigeria Start-up Act, was initiated by his office and the country’s Office of the Chief of Staff.
3. Casting Call: MTV Shuga Naija New Season Stellar Cast Audition.
With an opening of five peculiar roles in the new season of MTV SHUGA, Auditions are finally open for talented actors to showcase their talent and get an opportunity to be the next MTV SHUGA actor and make their way to stardom.

4. Guinness Book Of Records Officially Declares Monday ‘The Worst Day Of The Week’
The world’s authority on record-breaking achievements since 1955, Guinness World Records, has officially named Monday the worst day of the week. This declaration was made via a tweet on the official handle on Monday, October 17 “We’re officially giving Monday the record of the worst day of the week,”
This declaration received so many agreements in the comment sections and most people believed that no other worst day could be in the week than Monday.
5. Nigerian Superstar, Kizz Daniel, New Single ‘Cough’ Hits Number One On The Top 100 Nigeria Apple Music Chart
Barely months after the release of another hit song ‘Buga’ Nigerian superstar, Oluwatobiloba Daniel, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, new single ‘Cough’ hits number one on the Top 100 Nigeria Apple Music chart in less than 48 hours over social media and airwaves.
Just like ‘Buga’, the new song comes with a dance move, ‘Odo’. ‘Odo’ is another dance that sees the dancer squatting with a slight jump back while holding their thigh, which is now trending, even at wedding parties.
6. Akada Children’s Book Festival To Host Her 4th Edition In Lagos
The Akada Children’s Book Festival (ACBF), renowned as Nigeria’s first and largest book festival specifically designed for children, returns for its fourth edition scheduled to take place October 29, 2022, at the Upbeat Recreation Centre, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
Themed “Together Again”, the 2022 festival will feature relevant activities such as book readings, workshops for writers and illustrators, author showcases, interactive and engaging workshops for children, soft skills masterclasses for teachers, and parents, and much more.
Already, there is excitement in the air because the festival will be held physically for the first time since the 2019 event. Registration is now open
7. MBGN 34th EDition Unveils Thirty-seven Selected Contestants
The unveiling of the 37 beautiful girls at the Silverbird Galleria, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island who are in the race for the crown of the 34th edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN). The founder MBGN and the President Silverbird Group, Mr. Guy Murray-Bruce charged them to be their best in the game.
The grand finale will be at Eko Hotel and Suites on October 21, 2022, where one of them will be crowned ‘Miss Nigeria, and will represent Nigeria for Miss World in January 2023.
