1. Kunle Afolayan’s ‘Anikulapo’ Ranks No.1 Globally On Netflix

Topping all other ranking movies on Netflix, Popular filmmaker Kunle Afolayan recently took to his socials to unveil data confirming that the epic movie “Anikulapo has ranked number one globally, nearly two weeks after its streaming debut.

According to the data, Anikulapo is currently on the top ten list of most-watched non-English films on Netflix with a total of 8,730,000 global views. News of the didactic movie becoming a series has also been subtly distributed to fans globally on the internet.

2. Talku Talku Launches October’s How-To Webinar On Social Media

Following the groundbreaking webinar session that took place in September on their Instagram handle via Instagram live, Talku Talku is set to host another enlightening webinar session on the 27th of October 2022,5pm on Instagram live with the well-experienced speaker Mr. Olukayode Olayemi. The webinar topic; How to invest, where to invest and where not to invest as a creative, will be fully packed with wisdom points of how creatives can invest properly.

3. Reality TV Show BBNaija Season 3 Star, Rico Swavey Is Dead

Big Brother Naija reality star Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey is dead. The BBNaija star was involved in a ghastly accident, which made him hospitalized, and was placed on life support as his situation was critical and doctors were battling to save his life.

Fellow ex-housemates, Alex Unusual and Tobi Bakare confirmed the report on Thursday via social media. On Twitter, Alexa wrote: “This is not what we agreed Rico. Rest in peace, Alex tweeted. Recall that Nigerian entertainers launched a fundraiser for the late housemate following his accident.

4. Blaqbonez Storms The Internet With Mimics of Asake, Wizkid, and Ruger in ‘Back In Uni’ visuals

Emeka Akumefule, the Nigerian rapper better known as Blaqbonez, has put out the visuals of ‘Back In Uni’, his latest single, featuring JAE5.

The video opens up with Blaqbonez crashing the wedding of his ex-lover from the university by stealing a flower from the bouquet. It then switches to him cosplaying Wizkid’s picture on the cover of ‘Bad To Me’. He also mimicked Oxlade’s Color Studios ‘Kulosa’ performance, Asake’s church scene in ‘Bandana’, as well as Ruger and Ayra Starr in ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Rush’ respectively.

5. Ranking top 3 varsities in Nigeria for 2023: UI, UNILAG, CU

Amidst the ongoing ASUU strike decisions and demands, Times Higher Education (THE) released its latest world university rankings on Wednesday. Graded based on the summation of all the indicators, the database showed that UI was ranked first in the 401-500 set, followed by UNILAG also ranked within the same set. The two are succeeded by CU which was ranked within the 601-800 set of the 1799 institutions entered.

6. President Buhari Awards Music Stars Burna Boy, 2Baba, Teni With National Honors.

On The 11th of, October 2022, awards were presented to highly recognized people by President Muhammadu Buhari. Supertalented Artists like Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu ”Burna Boy was awarded Member of the Federal Republic, MFR and the National award was received on behalf of Burna Boy by his father. Similarly, music legend, Innocent Ujah Idibia, aka 2Face, and superstar singer, Teniola Apata “Teni” got the honor of Member of the Order of the Niger, MON at the Government House Villa in Aso Rock.
